Mother & Daughter Honored for Making a Difference
Rebecca wasn’t expected to live past the age of 12. A 150 surgeries later, today she’s 21, and along with her mother, Christyn, a recipient of the 2023 Points of Light Award for their work highlighting the needs of children diagnosed with pediatric pancreatitis — an excruciatingly painful disease. The Points of Light Award will be given October 26, 2023 in Washington, D.C.. Other recipients include Mike and Jacquelyn Love, Condoleezza Rice and Robert F. Smith. Former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama will once again serve as honorary co-chairs.
