With 20K+ Stillbirths in the U.S Annually, Why the Lack of Support?

Each year about 1 in 175 deliveries in the U.S. are stillbirths - that’s approx. 60 stillborn babies everyday, making it one of the most common adverse pregnancy outcomes, yet it’s rarely discussed and most states do not provide paid leave following this tragic experience. Elizabeth “Liz” O’Donnell, Infant Loss Advocate and Founder & CEO of Aaliyah in Action is working to change that through the nonprofit named for the daughter she lost in 2020 to stillbirth.
