Changing the Conversation around Pregnancy Loss

May marks a crucial time to highlight an often overlooked aspect of women’s health — stillbirth prevention. Did you know …

  • Stillbirth is NOT rare. In the US alone, there are over 21,000 stillbirths annually. That’s 3 kindergarten classes EVERY. DAY.

  • The US ranks 48th out of 49 high-income countries in reducing stillbirth rates annually

  • At least 25% of stillbirths are preventable

  • Black mothers are more than twice as likely to experience stillbirth

Speak with Samantha Durante Banerjee, Executive Director of PUSH for Empowered Pregnancy, about her fight, alongside other pregnancy loss families, to prevent others from experiencing the same loss.

Samantha Banerjee, Executive Director of PUSH for Empowered Pregnancy is calling on all states to grant paid leave following stillbirth and eliminate the choice between a paycheck and taking time off for critical recovery.
