Why Hundreds of D.C. Bikers are Hitting the Hot Pavement

He not only rang the bell signaling his cancer’s in remission, now Jeff Ridenour is a BellRinger himself! Ridenour is one of hundreds in training for BellRinger, a 25, 50, or 100-mile ride happening October 25-26. The event raises money to fund cancer research at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Teams are forming and training now.

Contact us to speak with Ridenour or Lombardi Executive Director, Dr. Lou Weiner.

The New Tool Making a Splash in Philanthropy

Traditional grant giving is evolving as Lever for Change introduces a new model with supersized grants ($10M vs the traditional $50K) for organizations previously excluded from such funding. Ultra high-net worth donors like Melinda French Gates, the MacArthur Foundation, and MacKenzie Scott are embracing this approach. To understand why and its impact, contact us to speak with Dr. Cecilia Conrad, CEO of Lever for Change.

Greece in D.C.? Yes Please!

No plans to travel to Greece this summer? Experience island cuisine at Limani, the DC Wharf’s modern Greek seafood restaurant. Plan a summer food segment or visit on August 15 at 7:30p for the Wharf’s sunset cinema screening of Mamma Mia! Limani will feature two special drinks: “Frozen Greek Ouzo Lemonade” and “Mamma Mia, That’s Some Delicious Sangria”. Contact us for an interview about this staycation hotspot.

As former journalists, we know it can be hard to find the right story — and the right interviews. At LEM, we are focused on solution-based stories about changemakers. So we’re sharing WHAT we’re working on, WHO we’re talking to, and WHY it matters.
